(I'll just go ahead and simply do the whole DISCUSSION + DECIDED PLOT separation here though I'll change it if you think it's inconvenient)
I still don't have a clear idea of what to do with Soghar though here are a few things about him that might be interesting for him to pursue:
All his live has been about proving himself and gaining power to be respected, mostly by his father but by others too. To see him leading his men and proving his strength at some point would be nice, especially if there is to be some kind of clash between the two kingdoms.
I want him to end up realizing that work, duty and honor is not everything and to see him gain his army's men and other people's friendship and trust too and get an actual social life lol
I'd also love to torture him a bit (I'm terrible, I know). Something happening that might hurt his pride and make him less vain would be lovely~
Love wise... well, he doesn't care for romantic love all that much. In fact, sex and talk of it and such make him incredibly uncomfortable and he tries to shrug it off. I can't decide whether he's still a virgin or not lol But he certainly isn't the most experienced one. He doesn't know if he likes women, men or both yet since he has never paid it too much attention.
I want someone to teach him that there is that part to life too, and him to actually consider the idea of romantic love. Either a seme or an uke would work for him though his partner should be a bit aggressive in his ways

He could be so focussed on proving himself to his father, that the end result is all he cares about. As you said he has little interest in love or even sex, well this could be because he's so focussed on 1 thing. He could be this strict workaholic drillsergeant that drains his men by demanding too much of them mentally and physically. So he forces them to work and train regardless of their physical capabilities, history and mental state. Of course this would make him very unpopular with his own soldiers, so they could throw remarks at him, or have a small revolution thing where they sort of punish him for being so hard on them? Just ideas #nosignature#

That's sounds so much like him, I like it ahahah I have the feeling that the poor guy won't end up too well. But I guess that the rebellion thing would make for a change of character (slight change, as much as someone so stubborn can change lol)#nosignature#

Maybe they tie him up somewhere for a day or more, but then one of the soldiers feels sorry for him. Like, that even though soghar asked too much of them in training and has been antisocial, the soldier isn't satisfied with the punishment and feels it's wrong, so he frees him and they fall in love. Or he could have a secret admirer from afar or something that never dared speaking with him, but then frees him and he's all confused because he thought everyone disliked him so much. #nosignature#

Mh, I think that one of the soldiers feeling sorry for him is more realistic. Plus the interaction would be interesting as Soghar would so be suspicious and like 'Okay, thanks. Doesn't excuse your previous actions though. so as punishment go around take 100 laps' pfff Or well, maybe someone does come to see through his coldness and harsh demands and see that he's actually doing it for the good of everyone and that he also pushes his own self to the limit too? That would be sweet ahaha I like both ideas so if someone is willing to make a character that could fall in either of those categories it would be lovely
